| In this book Peter Gurney departs from the pattern of his previous titles and talks very candidly about the loves in his life (especially guinea pigs !), how he came to love and care for them, the hilarious incidents and scrapes he got into along the way, and of the satisfaction he has gained trying to give pleasure to children at Great Ormond Street Hospital with his regular visits with guinea pigs. Publication date is planned for 10th April 2002.

| Peter talks about how he got involved with the Cambridge Cavy Trust, his first trip to the USA to attend the The Guinea Pig Extraveganza near Washington DC in July 2000, and also his more recent view of the hospital world as a patient. The book includes colour photos by Peter, and cartoons of many humourous events in the book by Northumberland cartoonist Phil Anderton. All in all we think this book of around 150 A5 pages will be enjoyed by all those who love guinea pigs and Peter Gurney ! |  |
| The book is being published by Peter himself as it isn't the kind of book which his usual publishers handle, not dealing entirely with animal care. Peter has been very keen to be able to tell you this story of a big part of his life, and the Winking Cavy Store is delighted to be able to help Peter in getting the book to print.
